Booster Information

Message from the Band Director

This group exists solely to support the Band Director, and to help fund the Band program. Right now the Band gets little financial support from the school district. The only way for the program to meet its financial goals is for the Booster organization to support our sons and daughters. I want to encourage all of the Band Parents to become involved in this group. This is not a Marching Band only support group. The Boosters are more visible at this time of year, but they will be supporting all of our performing groups. If you have a specific interest in one of the groups, or have questions about the group, call David Dodge, the Booster President, and visit with him. If you see me and want to ask a question, please feel free to do that. The Band Boosters meet on the 3^rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Band Room.

I want to encourage you as parents to support your son and daughter in their education. Be involved in their lives. Provide a well lighted place for them to practice at home. They will need to practice to be able to play as well as I will ask them to play. I do not require practice records, but it will be pretty easy to tell if they are practicing. Encourage them please. Music can be one of the most fulfilling pieces of our children’s education. Being in music groups does wonderful things for our brains, provides a great release for the day, and is great job-training for our children. Thank you for your support!!!
